Strathcona Beer Company -  Fresh Hop Sour:

When I asked for a taster of the fresh hop sour at Strathcona brewing, the employee serving me gave me some forewarning: "the first sip may throw you a little, but wait till the second sip and your mind will be blown". Man was he right. Taking the first sip, I was hit with a wave of flavour that I wasn’t sure If I loved or hated.  Then I took the second sip, and the world just seemed to fall into place. 

What Strathcona brewing has produced is an easy drinking beer with just the right amount of tartness; soft, fruity undertones and a hint of white wine. It can be enjoyed in any situation that your typical Vancouverite may find themselves in, whether you’re hanging out at the beach, relaxing after a long day on the slopes, or as a slightly different option on your craft brewery tour through yeast (east) Vancouver. If you enjoy the more traditional styles of beer and have been weary of jumping on board the sour beer trend, then this is the perfect beer to get your feet wet with. After trying this beer out, I guarantee you will be singing the praises of sour beers everywhere.
